What to donate?
We accept Books, DVDs, CDs, and Audio Books, in reusable condition. If you have any questions, please call us at 540–382–7262 or send us a note via our Contact Us page.
Please note that we’re unable to accept encyclopedias, magazines, newspapers, VHS tapes or catalogs. Also, please make sure that the books you donate are intended to be donated, as we cannot locate & return items after they have been donated.
Why Donate?
- We’ll find a great new use for your donated books and other items.
- Donating used books you don’t need, allows the books to go to someone who does!
- You can get a nonprofit donation tax receipt for your donation!
- Donated books are sold at our LVNRV Used Bookstore or at our annual sale; the money we make from these sales is one of the largest methods of funding support we have. Your donations = support for our literacy programs.
- Donating books keeps them out of our landfills!
- We find new uses for donated books so no books will EVER go to waste!
If in doubt, don’t throw them out! Drop them off during our business hours of Monday-Friday 9am-5pm at:

Please call before dropping off books. We have a small staff and if no one is in the office we have o close the store. So please call to make sure someone is there. we DO have a drop box/slot for after hours donations, but we ask that this option only be used when you have less than 20 books.
