Literacy Volunteers of the New River Valley

• Provides free, confidential, individualized tutoring in reading and writing to adults who read below a fifth grade level.
• Offers English for Speakers of Other Languages for adults who seek to improve their English speaking and writing skills.
• Conducts family literacy programs designed to teach parents with limited reading skills how to encourage and help their children with reading. 
• Teaches basic computer skills to low-literate adults that may be unable to learn in other educational settings in the New River Valley
